Canasta Offerings

  • All classes are open to all students; they are not gender-specific.

  • For all Canasta classes other than the Beginner level, students must have already learned the game and have some playing experience.

  • Min/max: 8-12 players

    3, 2.5-hour classes within a 1-2 week period

    Includes one-year membership in Canasta League of America; Booklet containing Standard Rules and Instruction; a revolving deck tray; one double deck of cards; multiple handouts; graduation certificate

  • Min/max: 10-16 players

    One-time 2-hour session

    Includes Booklet – Advanced and Strategic Play; group discussion

  • Min/max: 8-12 players

    One-time 2-hour session

    Handout with all of the Special Hands; practice and play

  • Min/max: 4-12 players

    One-time 2-hour session

    Supervise players and suggest strategies during play

  • Min/max: 32 players (8 tables) - 120 players (30 tables)

    One-time 4-hour tournament

    Moderator for Canasta Tournament; provide score sheet; prepare and post leaderboard
